Donate
We help people experiencing homelessness in our communities every day. Because we are primarily funded by donors, we would not be able to help the people we do without your generosity.
When you donate to MMHS&S, you help us provide our guests with necessities like clothing, food, and a bed to sleep in.
There are many ways you can help us help meet the immediate and long-term needs of the people we support.
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards via PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to make a donation via credit card. We also accept donations that can be brought or mailed directly to the shelter at 19 Colby St in Waterville. When bringing donations, please check them in at the front desk so we can thank you! Keep scrolling to see our specific donation needs and the various ways you can donate.
The shelter is funded by 60% of donations that come from generous people like you. These donations add to our general fund, which allows us to operate in an effort to end homelessness with one person, one family, and one child at a time.
When mailing a check, please address your donation to:

Thank You for Your Generosity
Since 1990, the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter & Services has been able to provide emergency shelter and homeless prevention services, largely due to the generous amount of in-kind donations the community provides. Because of the kindness and generosity of the community, most of our financial resources can be put toward operating costs.
