Janelle joined the MMHSS board of directors in 2018. After retiring from KVCAP/Child and Family Services where she worked with children from birth to age 5, and their families for over 30 years. Janelle was the liaison between those families experiencing homelessness and MMHSS, oftentimes enrolling the child/family in a home visiting program, a Pre-K program, or childcare. These families were near and dear to her heart, hence the desire to continue her advocacy work and stay involved by being on the MMHSS board.

Janelle lives in Winslow with her husband Sam. Together they have 2 adult children and 1 granddaughter. Janelle especially enjoys her time outside in her flower gardens or just enjoying nature. Janelle volunteers at Northern Light Hospital once a week, and helps deliver food to shut-ins through the Winslow Food Pantry.
